Established in accordance to Title VI of the Federal Clean Water Act and Chapter 46-12.2 of the General Laws of Rhode Island as part of the RIWPCRF. The purpose of this program is to provide low-interest financial assistance in the form of short-term loans, not in excess of $150,000 per project with an interest rate of 1% to local governmental units so water pollution abatement project facility plan documents, amendments, or updates can be completed. These facility plans are a prerequisite for funding from the CWSRF. The repayment is over a three-year period. Recipients of loans must comply with all applicable state laws and regulations.
